Civil Infrastructure: Commercial Foundation & Drainage

Large-scale commercial developments require a Data-Driven Approach to groundworks. For this Leicester-based complex, the primary challenge was managing subterranean water flow while ensuring a stable base for heavy-load industrial structures.
Project Metric: Implementation of a 500m³ attenuation tank system to manage high-volume storm-water runoff, exceeding local environmental safety standards.
Groundwork & Excavation
Our geotechnical survey identified varying soil densities across the 2-acre site. We utilized precision excavation techniques to reach the load-bearing strata, followed by the installation of a compacted stone sub-base.
- Drainage: Deep-bore soakaways with integrated silt traps.
- Foundation Type: Reinforced strip footings with C35 strength concrete.
- Logistics: Managed 120+ aggregate deliveries using an optimized JIT schedule.
Structural Reinforcement

To prevent structural settling, we utilized high-tensile steel reinforcement cages within the primary footings. Every pour was monitored for slump consistency and temperature, ensuring the concrete achieved its maximum design strength during the curing phase.
Business Intelligence in Civil Works
By applying Business Intelligence workflows to our material procurement, we mitigated the risk of price volatility in the concrete market. This allowed us to deliver the infrastructure phase 5% under budget without compromising on the S355 Steel specifications.
This project stands as a testament to Kamboj Construction's ability to manage complex civil requirements with industrial precision and financial transparency.
